Some of the members from East 3 attended a church service on Sunday at St.Francis Xavier. We all bonded and found it within our district to always have a positive mindset and be determined. We also dared to dream that all of our member would participate and do well in the speech competion and thats exactly what we did. We strives for Excellence whiles Giving God all the praise and the glory he rightfully deserved.

Vandia is a very active member of YEP Bahamas, she is an Officer in her District East 3 as well as a representative for her District at the Student Association for YEP.

YOUTH EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM (YEP) - MALE RETREAT 2014
The Youth Empowerment Program (YEP) hosted its 2nd annual Male Retreat at Stapeldon Auditorium under the theme "The Distinguished Man"
Hundreds of young men who are enrolled in YEP Bahamas from across (12) twelve District Centers and (27) High Schools throughout New Providence actively participated in this year's retreat that was once again an awesome success.
YEP Bahamas mission is to prepare our young people to become productive citizens and role models of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas. To date YEP has an active enrollment of approximately (1100) eleven hundred students. The program is proud that 40% of its enrollment is made up of young men.
An array of outstanding professionals participated as Mentors and Presenters throughout the all day retreat. Speakers included; Macara Fowler, Chantuez Wilson, SGT. Darvey Pratt, Chris Saunders, Lincoln Deal Sr., Yohancy Kemp, Jolando Adderley, Delano Munroe, Mick Massar, Timothy Bain and Dominic Laing. The Male retreat was an all day event that commenced at 8:00am and concluded at 4:30pm.
The participants of this year's retreat were actively engaged in critical issues that face young men in todays society. Issues such as; What a girl wants, This is your life, Burning the past, Grooming- More than a habit, The hard truth about soft drugs and Alternative careers.
The Youth Empowerment Program (YEP) is a non profit NGO that depends on the support of Corporate Bahamas to administer its programs. YEP Bahamas acknowledges the following sponsors for their contribution to making the YEP Male Retreat a success. YEP Bahamas hosted its 2nd Annual Female Retreat at Cave Cafe, West Bay street and Blake Rd.
Hundreds of young ladies who are enrolled in the Youth Empowerment Program from across (12) twelve District Centers and (27) twenty seven High Schools throughout New Providence actively participated in this year's retreat that has been dubbed an overwhelming success.
YEP Mission is to prepare our young people to become productive citizens and role models of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas. To date the Youth Empowerment Program has approximately (1100) eleven hundred students actively participating in its after school program that is now considered the fastest growing and number one youth program in the Bahamas.
An array of outstanding professionals participated as Mentors and Presenters throughout the all day event, speakers included Sarsha Taylor, Anastarcia Huyler, Dominic Stubbs, D' Asante Beneby, Florence Rolle, Yolanda Darville, Rayette McDonald and Macara Fowler. The Female retreat commenced at 8:00am and concluded at 4:30pm.

Issues such as; Being a young woman in a Man's world, Grooming and Etiquette, Being more than your body, A young woman from a Man's perspective and Defining yourself as a young woman.
